Calendar settings
Defaults for new events, your week, working and focus time, buffers and time zones.
Settings → Calendar decides what happens when you create something without thinking about it.
Defaults
| Setting | What it does | Starts as |
|---|---|---|
| Default Space | Where new events land, unless you're looking at a particular Space | Your first work Space, or Personal |
| Default duration | How long a new event is until you change it — 15 minutes to 2 hours | 30 minutes |
| Default view | What Calendar opens on — any of the seven views | Week |
| Week starts on | Monday, Sunday or Saturday, for week, month, year and agenda views. The work week is always Monday to Friday. | Monday |
Working time
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Working hours | Your working week, lunch and breaks. They live on Booking page → Availability — Edit takes you there. |
| Preferred focus time | Weekday hours you'd rather keep for deep work, like 09:00–11:00. Find a time and your booking page never offer them. |
| Protect focus blocks | Invitations that land in one of your protected focus blocks are declined for you, with a notification; you can still accept. On to begin with. |
| Warn when a day is over capacity | A note on Today when more is booked than your working hours hold. Never blocks anything. On to begin with. |
| Default buffer | Padding before and after new events in a Space, unless an event sets its own. Choose the Space, then None to 30 minutes. |
| Add travel time for events with a place | Coming soon. |
Time zone
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Your time zone | Used for reminders, your daily briefing and your booking page. The same setting as on Profile. |
| Show a second time zone | Its times appear in smaller type beside yours on the Day and Week grids, labelled with the zone. |
Events keep the zone they were created in; you always see them in your own.
