Typeform, Jotform and Google Forms
Start automations when someone fills in one of your forms — every answer becomes a placeholder.
Experimental. Integrations are still being tested. They may not run, or may give incomplete or wrong results — check anything important yourself, and tell us what goes wrong.
Watch a form, and every new response starts your automations with the trigger A form is submitted. Each answer becomes a placeholder, so a response can become a task, a follow-up event, a Slack message or an email.
Connect and choose forms
| Tool | How to connect | Choosing forms |
|---|---|---|
| Typeform | Connect Typeform, then Accept (read-only) | Pick from your forms |
| Jotform | Paste an API key — Jotform → Settings → API → Create New Key, Read Access | Pick from your forms |
| Google Forms | Connect Google Forms — adds read-only access to form questions and responses to your Google connection | Paste the form's link (from the editor or the live form) |
Then Watch. Only responses from that moment on start automations — the ones already there don't.
Google Forms are added by link because listing them would need access to your whole Google Drive; this way Daykite only ever sees the forms you add.
Build the automation
- New automation → trigger A form is submitted (under Other apps).
- Which form: one of your watched forms, or any of them.
- The trigger lists that form's answers as placeholders. A question called What's your budget? becomes
{answers.whats_your_budget}. Two questions with the same title are numbered ({answers.name_2}).
Also available: {form.name}, {respondent.email} (when the form collects it) and {submitted.at}.
How quickly responses arrive
- Typeform and Google Forms: checked every 5 minutes. Typeform can take up to half an hour to hand over a new response, so the odd one may arrive a little later. None are missed, and none run twice.
- Jotform: checked every 10 minutes, because Jotform's free and Starter plans allow only a small number of API calls a day.
Each response runs your automations once. Form responses can also go out as a webhook (form.submitted) — see
Connect other tools.
When a form goes away
If a form is deleted or unshared, Daykite stops watching it and the card says why. Stop watching does the same by hand.
