Docs › Integrations
Google Docs, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and Evernote
Automations that create a meeting document or a client folder, and link it from the event or task.
Experimental. Integrations are still being tested. They may not run, or may give incomplete or wrong results — check anything important yourself, and tell us what goes wrong.
Two automation steps put documents and folders where your work already lives:
- Create a Google Doc — a notes document for every booking, a brief for every new project.
- Create a folder — in Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Box, one per client, project or booking.
- Create an Evernote note — meeting notes for every booking, in the notebook you choose.
Each can add its link to the event or task that started the automation: Document: https://docs.google.com/… goes into the event's notes (and on to Google Calendar or Outlook, if the event syncs there) or the task's notes.
Examples
- A booking is made → Create a Google Doc titled
Notes: {meeting_type.name} with {guest.name}, starting textAgenda,Notes,Next steps→ the doc is on the event before the meeting. - A task is created in your Clients project → Create a folder in Dropbox inside
Clients, named{task.title}→ the folder link is on the task. - A form is submitted → Create a folder in Box named
{answers.company}.
Connect
| Tool | Where | What Daykite can do |
|---|---|---|
| Google Docs and Drive | Integrations → Files and documents → Connect Google Docs and Drive (adds to your Google account) | Create documents and folders, and open only the ones it created — nothing else in your Drive. |
| OneDrive | Integrations → Connect OneDrive (adds to your Microsoft account) | Create folders. Microsoft has no narrower permission, so it's the same one other file apps ask for; Daykite only creates folders. |
| Dropbox | Integrations → Dropbox → Connect | Create folders (and read your account's name and email). It never reads your files. |
| Box | Integrations → Box → Connect | Create folders. Box's permission covers reading and writing files; Daykite only creates folders. |
| Evernote | Integrations → Evernote → Connect, then sign in to Evernote and Allow | Create notes. Daykite asks only to read and create — never to change or delete — and creates notes only when an automation says so. |
Good to know
- Names — characters that file tools refuse (
/ \ : * ? " < > |) are replaced with spaces. If a folder with the name already exists, a number is added — Acme (1) — so an automation never drops files into someone else's folder. - Where — for Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, Inside is a path such as
Clients/Active; folders along the way are created if they're missing. (In Google Drive, Daykite can only see folders it made, so it makes its ownClientsfolder rather than using one you made by hand.) For Box, paste the link of the folder (from your browser's address bar). Empty means the top level. - If the tool is disconnected, the step fails and the run says so; reconnect on Integrations.
- Evernote connects through Evernote's new MCP server, which Evernote still calls a beta. The note's text goes in as
written (headings with
#and lists with-work). If Evernote gives the new note a link, it's added to the event or task. Notebook must match a notebook's name exactly; left empty, the note goes in your default notebook.
