Microsoft Teams
Create a Teams link for any event in one click, and give every booking its own Teams meeting automatically.
Experimental. Integrations are still being tested. They may not run, or may give incomplete or wrong results — check anything important yourself, and tell us what goes wrong.
Connect Microsoft Teams and Daykite can make Teams meetings for you:
- On any event: Create a Teams link under Call link makes a meeting and fills in the link.
- On bookings: a meeting type set to A new Teams link for each booking gives every guest a meeting of their own.
Teams meetings need a work or school Microsoft 365 account with Teams. Microsoft doesn't let apps create Teams meetings for personal accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail). With a personal account, paste a Teams link instead.
Connect
Integrations → Microsoft Teams → Connect Microsoft Teams. Microsoft asks for permission to create online meetings as you. If Outlook Calendar or Outlook mail is already connected, this adds to the same connection, and nothing you had before is lost.
Admin approval: some organisations only let apps create meetings after an administrator approves them. If Microsoft asks for approval, send the request to your IT admin, then connect again.
A Teams link for an event
Open or create an event. Under Call link, choose Create a Teams link. Daykite makes a meeting named after the event and puts its link in the field. Guests see Join the call. Already have a link? The option reads Replace with a new Teams link.
The meeting doesn't appear in your Outlook calendar on its own: its home is the Daykite event. If the event is on a calendar that syncs both ways with Outlook, the link goes to Outlook with it.
A Teams meeting for every booking
- Bookings → Booking page → a meeting type → Where.
- Video call → Microsoft Teams → A new Teams link for each booking, and save.
When a guest books, Daykite creates a Teams meeting called Intro call with Ana Ruiz, at the booked time. The link goes on the event, into the guest's confirmation email and calendar file, and onto the booking.
When it doesn't work
- "Microsoft wouldn't create a Teams meeting for this account": the account is personal, or has no Teams licence. Connect a work or school account, or paste a link instead.
- "Microsoft refused one of the permissions": usually a personal account being asked for Teams. Your calendar and mail connections are unaffected.
