Google Sheets
Add a row to a spreadsheet from any automation, and export your bookings in one click.
Experimental. Integrations are still being tested. They may not run, or may give incomplete or wrong results — check anything important yourself, and tell us what goes wrong.
Keep a running record where your team already looks. With Google Sheets connected:
- Any automation can add a row — each booking, finished task, cancelled event or routine period done.
- Bookings export — every booking into a new spreadsheet, from the Bookings page.
Connect
Integrations → Google Sheets → Connect Google Sheets. Google asks for permission to see, edit and create your spreadsheets. Daykite only writes to spreadsheets you point an automation at, and to new ones it creates for you.
Add a row from an automation
The quickest start: on Automations, choose Use this on Log bookings to Google Sheets. Or build one:
- New automation → + Trigger, and choose what sets it off.
- With the trigger selected, + Integration → Add a row to a Google Sheet. Columns for everything the trigger knows are filled in — remove the ones you don't want.
- Choose where rows go:
- Paste a Google Sheets link → Use it. Copy the link from your browser's address bar. If the spreadsheet has several tabs, pick one.
- Or create a new spreadsheet — made in your Google Drive, named after the step, with your column names as its header row.
- Adjust the columns. Each has a name and what goes in it: a placeholder like
{guest.name}, plain text, or both —{booking.start} ({meeting_type.name}). Pressing a placeholder under Placeholders adds a column for it. - Switch it On.
Each run adds one row at the bottom of the tab, with the columns in order. Column names are only used for the header of a new spreadsheet — in an existing one, just keep the order matching its columns.
Examples
| Rule | Columns |
|---|---|
| When a booking is made | Guest {guest.name} · Email {guest.email} · Type {meeting_type.name} · When {booking.start} |
| When a booking is cancelled | Guest {guest.name} · Was booked for {booking.start} · Status Cancelled |
| When a task is completed · Only Website relaunch | Task {task.title} · Project {project.name} · Due {task.due} |
| When a routine period is done | Routine {routine.name} · Period {period.name} · Date {date} |
Export your bookings
On Bookings, choose Export to Google Sheets. A new spreadsheet appears in your Google Drive with every booking — start, end, meeting type, guest, email, time zone, status, where, phone, answers, and when it was booked — and Open the spreadsheet ↗ takes you there. See Manage your bookings.
When a row can't be added
The automation's run history says why:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Your Google account can't edit that spreadsheet. | Ask its owner to share it with your Google account, with edit access |
| Google can't find that spreadsheet. | It was deleted, or the link was wrong — choose Change on the step |
| That spreadsheet has no tab with that name any more. | The tab was renamed or deleted — pick it again on the step |
| Google Sheets isn't connected any more — reconnect it on Integrations. | Connect Google Sheets again |
