How the meeting time finder works

Every start time in the day is checked in 30-minute steps. For each person, each quarter hour of the meeting is scored: nothing inside their working hours, a little for early morning or evening, more for a weekend and a lot for sleeping hours.

The three lowest-scoring times are suggested, at least an hour apart so you have real choices. Ties go to the earlier time.

Each person can have their own working hours, and weekends follow their country's working week.

Examples

  • New York and London overlap from 09:00 to 12:00 New York time on a weekday — a 10:00 New York meeting is 15:00 in London.
  • New York, London and Sydney never share working hours; the finder shows the fairest compromise and who it's early or late for.

Good for

  • Scheduling a call with a distributed team
  • Picking a recurring stand-up time
  • Arranging an interview with a candidate abroad

Frequently asked questions

How is the best time chosen?
By scoring each person's local time for the whole meeting — working hours cost nothing, early mornings and evenings a little, weekends more and sleeping hours the most. The lowest total wins.
What if there's no time that suits everyone?
You'll still get three suggestions, with each person's local time and a label so you can see who it's early or late for — and rotate it next time.
Can I change someone's working hours?
Yes. Each city has its own start and end, so a colleague who works 07:00–15:00 is scored on those hours.
