Appearance
Theme, density, colours, clock format, and what the calendar shows.
Settings → Appearance changes how Daykite looks. Everything saves as soon as you change it.
Theme
Light, Dark, or System — which follows your device. It's remembered on each device, so your phone can be dark while your laptop is light. The sun and moon button in the top bar switches it too.
Density: Comfortable gives each hour more room; Compact fits more of the day on screen.
Colour and legibility
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Event types | A colour for each built-in type — meeting, appointment, focus, personal, routine, travel, break, buffer, deadline and task time. Pick from the swatches. |
| Your event types | Types you make yourself, each with a name, a colour, the built-in type it behaves like and a usual length. See Create events. |
| Show Space labels on events | The Space's name under each event, so the calendar reads without relying on colour |
| Higher contrast | Darker secondary text and firmer lines, in light and dark |
| Reduce motion | Turns animations off in Daykite even if your device setting doesn't |
Time display
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Clock | 24-hour (14:30) or 12-hour (2:30 pm), everywhere — including your daily briefing |
| Show declined events | Invitations you said you can't make stay on your calendar |
| Show weekends | Off: the week and month views show Monday to Friday |
